I really love GLOG classes, and the community in the GLOG Discord is so creative, it needs to be archived somewhere! Here’s a compilation of all the 96 classes that have been published on it in 2024! The Types—Specialist (S), Wizard (W) and Fighter (F)—have been arbitrarily given by me after reading each class. Fun fact, I didn’t design any classes in 2024… and many gloggers didn’t either! There were 50% less class produced that year compared to 2023. I know I produced many classes in 2025, so I wonder if it was just a special year.

Like last year, I noted 10 who particularly inspired me and that I will probably steal from:

• Grek’s CAMERA WIZARD. This year, I got back into GLoG Wizards again, and this one really attracted me as I reread it recently. I admit I am biased, since photography is what I studied, but I am fascinated with how this class uses spell to talk about the mechanism and concepts of a camera and I now want to do more of that.
• Gorinich’s COMPLETELY NORMAL GIRL WITH TOO MUCH BLOOD. This class is amazing in the way it flips the script again with a common thrope that is surprisingly unexploited in OSR: you play as the girl who inexplicably seem to attract vampires. It is very evocative, romantic, and playable.
• Grace’s EXPLORER. One of this year’s bandwagons was the Ranger, and I was so happy with this take. Making rangers some sort of overland map wizards is genius, and feels true to the trope while being freed from the pitfalls of the DnD design.
• The First Gokun’s ICHABOD. For being a religious headless body, this class has a lot of personality. Every ability overflows with flavour while still being straightforward and useable. (also loved your sleuth :)
• Quandale Dingle’s IRONCLAD. I always choose a class with some sort ressource management dillema, and this my favourite this year. You are a powerful killing machine but must manage steam taking over your inventory.
• The Lovely Dark’s MAGICIAN. It feels like cheating to put the always poetic and evocative short-story-as-classes from The Lovely Dark here because they are creative writing masterpieces. This one has you seduce and kill ghosts, which is so fun and goth.
• Archon’s PSYCHOPOMP. A very elegant way to tie worldbuilding with player agency for a Bounty Hunter class. Yes, you kill for others, but the player here has incentives and agency.
• Deus’s RATBASTARD. What a fun way to do the many-rats-in-a-trenchcoat trope. The abilities are designed in such ways that most of the things you do will reveal your gruesome nature. It sounds very fun to narrate at the table. I love grossing out people with what my character do.
• Hilander’s SLIME. Oh another class which has you manage a ressource to tweak your powers. This time, your are a slime and change your mass! It’s so elegant and clever.
• Lexi’s BRAVO. I love the idea that a swashbuckler uses panache to overcome failure. It’s a clever mechanic that I wish I had thought of. Not many non-magical fighters this year, and this one still manage to find evocative ways to improve the basic attack roll.
